Full Job Description

The Children's Integrated Speech and Language Therapy service for Hackney and The City is an innovative and supportive team offering high quality services to our diverse East London community and beyond.

The post holder will be joining an innovative and friendly team of Clinical Leads to lead the mainstream part of the Service. The post will include both clinical time working in mainstream primary schools as well as clinical leadership time.

Main duties of the job

The post holder will work closely with colleagues in the Senior Leadership Team to ensure the smooth running of the service with a particular focus on Mainstream Primary Schools.

A large part of this service is delivered through Traded Services with schools and the post holder will work closely with the service Operational Lead to manage this.

Clinical work will be within one of the local schools and the Clinical Leadership part of the role will be focused on delivering a high quality SaLT service to schools, developing a skilled workforce and meeting statutory obligations around SEND.

The post holder will work closely with colleagues from Education in Hackney and The City to ensure that SaLT is an integral part of the Graduate Response and that the wider workforce is skilled in supporting SLCN.
