Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Community CAMHS at Sheffield Children's NHS Foundation Trust as a Clinical Lodge Manager on Amber Lodge. We are looking for a confident, motivated individual to join us for a full-time role (37.5 hours per week) on Amber Lodge. The role is to provide clinical and managerial leadership of the team, while working alongside the rest of the leadership team, on the lodge and within wider leadership structures in the trust.

Amber Lodge is based at the Becton Centre and is a day unit which offers mental health support for young people aged 5 to 11 years old. Amber Lodge is a regional unit, and children are referred from community CAMHS teams in Sheffield, Barnsley, Rotherham and North Derbyshire. Therefore, a wealth of clinical experience is needed for the job role.

The successful candidate will lead the lodge to deliver a clinically effective service to children and young people. This includes the day-to-day operational management of the day unit team and outreach team, supporting and developing colleagues across the team, and setting clear direction for strategic developments alongside problem solving operational and clinical issues collaboratively with the lodge leadership team.

Main duties of the job

Manage a diverse cohort of service users, delivering high-quality care through clear organisation of lodge processes, structured governance and escalation routes and strong leadership and support for colleagues within the team.

To demonstrate skills within assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of care /treatment packages for children, young people and families

Provide clinical supervision to junior members of the team.

To provide line management and clinical supervision.

To work in collaboration with colleagues working in Specialist CAMHS and the wider education and social care network to provide a holistic package of care / treatment for identified children, young people and families.

To provide clinical leadership and be a source of specialist clinical advice by having a working knowledge of specific therapeutic interventions, treatments and clinical management strategies.

To ensure that the guiding principles of Clinical Governance are in place and that they are utilised to maintain and enhance clinical practice and quality within the team.
