An excitingopportunity has arisen for an experienced and enthusiastic Clinical Nurse Specialist to join a new multidisciplinary service - the CAMHS Hillside In Reach Service - who support the mental health needs of the young people at the Hillside Secure Care Home, Neath.

The commissioned service, provided by the Swansea Bay UHB Child & Adolescent Mental Health Directorate, is a multi-disciplinary, psychology-led service which will work in collaboration with the Hillside management and staff to provide quality mental health support. The post holder will function as an autonomous clinical specialist within the of professionals including psychologists, psychiatrist, psychological therapy, speech and language therapy and occupational therapy, and will be embedded professionally into the wider Health Board structures.

We are particularly looking for candidates who have previous experience in forensic mental health settings, service development and working in collaboration with partners.

The post holder will provide and contribute experience and understanding of the knowledge and skills required to undertake the role of the Specialist Nurse , and will be managerially professionally responsible to the Lead Nurse of CAMHS and Head of Nursing.

The service will be operational Monday to Friday between 09:00-17:00 throughout the year, excluding bank holidays.

The post holder will be expected to travel between the base and the Hillside care home per the requirements of the role., The post holder will provide specialist nursing care, advice, guidance and leadership, and take responsibility for a specialist nursingservice using their advanced clinical knowledge and experience with a high level of skill and theoretical knowledge to;o Assess, plan, implement and evaluate evidenced-based nursing care.o Provide expert advice and clinical practice.o Work autonomously and manage own workload as a lead specialist in their area Provide specialist education and training to Staffo Lead and manage a team of specialist nurseso Work collaboratively and co-operatively with clinical colleagues to develop services and the quality of care delivered.o Lead the development and planning of clinical services within the specialist field.o Demonstrate the Health Board's values and ensure that others demonstrate the same values.o Undertake clinical Activity e.g. Clinics, ward-based work, telephone consultations etc.o Undertake professional Activity e.g. Audit, CPD, teaching, research and
administration
