Full Job Description

The North clinical business unit is delighted to be recruiting into a Clinical Nurse Specialist post to join the Northumberland and North Tyneside Universal Crisis Team based at St Georges Park Hospital. We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic clinician with suitable leadership and experience, who is motivated to join the collective leadership team in this innovative post., The Clinical Nurse Specialist will contribute to the strategic direction for the development of nursing practice within the Northumberland and North Tyneside Access CBU. They will take the lead in extending boundaries and creating frameworks for the enhancement of nursing within their speciality.

The post holder will continue to strive towards excellence in nursing care and communicate this excellence to colleagues both within the organisation and externally. The post holder will work with the Nurse Consultant on nursing developments within this specialist area of practice.

Key Functions:

-Offer 'specialist practice' within the service for up to 80% of the post.

-Professional leadership and advice, including clinical supervision.

-Take part in service development of staff, and a range of other agencies, statutory and non-statutory in conjunction with the Nurse Consultant. With formal academic links established.

-Undertake audit and related activities in aspect of clinical practice, therapeutic intervention and service evaluation involving service users and their families.

-Contribute to the strategic development of the nursing strategy for CNTW.
