Full Job Description

The post holder will be expected to hold a small clinical caseload 6-8 young people. The work is city wide and MDT based. You will have the opportunity to help both young people and services around them. We have a personality disorder unit panel to review young peoples pathway in services and how we can help work towards increased independence and return to the community.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, motivated and experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist to apply for a post within Personality and Complex Trauma (PACT) Service within FTB.

This team is for young people with complex presentations and works with young people both in the community and in reaching into hospital. The team is a combination of Specialist Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Lived Experience, Psychology, Art Psychotherapy and Community & Peer Support Workers and there is a ethos of shared team working. The role requires a highly skilled practitioner who has exceptional skills in the clinical management of young people with emotional, social and interpersonal difficulties often with complex trauma. You will have the opportunity to work with young people to promote safety and to help them to recognise their strengths. There are opportunities to co work both within the team and to work closely with core services.

Feedback from PACT team members:

I'm so grateful to be part of this fantastic and supportive team. I have learnt so much from both my patients and the team. I really like being able to influence the systems and keep the young people at the focus of what we do.

If you are interested in developing your clinical skills in working with young people with complex needs, and also having the freedom and support to work creatively then this is the job for you.
