We are thrilled to announce an opportunity for a Band 7 Allergy Clinical Nurse Specialist within the Chest and Allergy service at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust. Our allergy service holds the distinction of being the longest established Allergy clinic in the UK, offering a fully comprehensive, nationally commissioned service.
As part of our dynamic Allergy CNS Team, you will play a crucial role in providing outpatient services across the Trust. This position allows you to work within a highly respected team, contributing to the care and well-being of our patients while advancing your professional skills in a supportive and innovative environment.

Working within our multidisciplinary team the post holder will be expected to deliver nurse-led outpatient clinics, support the food and drug allergy day case services and work alongside the medical and nursing team to deliver our immunotherapy service. This post will work closely with lead nurse for allergy and Allergy consultants within service.
Awareness of the current issues in allergy management is essential in order to provide high quality specialist nursing assessment, evidence-based intervention and self-management support for our patients. Teaching experience is also highly desirable as is the ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
To facilitate and manage the provision of high quality nursing care to adult patients with allergic diseases with a focus on facilitating self-management of long-term conditions including anaphylaxis, drug allergy, severe rhinitis and food allergy.
The CNS will provide care and support to patients and their families/carers attending the Trust either as inpatients or as outpatients and ensure smooth transitions of care into the community setting. The role offers advice and support to doctors, nursing staff, allied health care specialists and others to help support and manage patients.
