Are you ready for a new challenge and looking for an opportunity to enhance your knowledge and experience in Epilepsy Nursing? We are looking for an outstanding nurse with a passion for raising the profile of epilepsy nursing and developing services. An exciting opportunity has arisen for an 11 month secondment as an Epilepsy Clinical Nurse Specialist within Neurosciences at King's College Hospital. This is to cover a period of Maternity Leave. Our nursing service supports with the management of epilepsy ; supporting patients in a tertiary setting with a wealth of expertise, working alongside Consultant Neurologists, Epileptologists and Consultant Neuro-surgeons., You will join our Lead Epilepsy Nurse Specialist; a second established Band 7 CNS and a Health Care Assistant giving you the opportunity to develop your knowledge and skills in areas such as epilepsy surgery, vagal nerve stimulation and medication management.

  • be a strong team player with excellent communication, negotiating and teaching skills.
  • contribute to the ongoing development of services for people with epilepsy and the training and development of colleagues on our wards and outpatient clinic.
  • In return you will receive support in this role by the existing epilepsy CNS team; Consultants; Senior Nursing team; Service Management and the care group triumvirate.
