Full Job Description

We're looking for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to join our Cancer Nursing Team at The Christie Private Care, currently rated "Outstanding" by the CQC. HCA Healthcare UK has developed a dedicated private centre in partnership with The Christie NHS Foundation Trust in Manchester. The Christie Private Care treats private patients with a full range of diagnostic, inpatient, surgical, day case and outpatient treatment all on one site. As our new Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialist for Hepatobiliary, Neuroendocrine and Upper Gastrointestinal Cancer at The Christie Private Care, you will be managing a caseload of patients diagnosed with, and having treatment for these specialities. The role will include collaboration and liaison with Consultant medical staff, ward/departmental staff, and other CNSs within The Christie hospital Foundation Trust, to provide seamless evidence based holistic pathway of care for all patients referred into the service. The post holder will be involved in coordination of patient care, Holistic needs assessments and supporting the inpatient and outpatients within their speciality. The role requires experience in both Medical Oncology and Clinical oncology. Knowledge of surgical and radiological interventions for UGI and HPB is also an advantage.

  • 2 years plus Oncology/Haematology Nursing experience
