Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join our Lung team at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre as a Band 7 Macmillan Clinical Nurse Specialist in Lung oncology as a fixed term CNS.
The post holder will provide specialist advice and support to patients and their carers throughout their care pathway, as well as providing education and support to staff throughout the trust. The post holder will support the consultant team as well as delivering nurse led services for patients with Lung tumours.
This role is currently based at The Clatterbridge Cancer Centre in the Eastern sector, however you will be required to travel between our network hospital sites, including Liverpool and the Wirral sector.
You should possess advanced clinical skills, be an excellent communicator, leader and educator, and be highly motivated to lead and deliver a service. A background in cancer nursing is ideal, recent experience in working within the specialty of Lung-oncology would be essential.

    self-manage ongoing consequences of
    treatment.
  • Be an active part in attending case

  • conferences, SRGs and MDTs as
    required.
    Actively participates in multi-professional
    meetings, acting as patient advocate and
    representing nursing views.
  • Takes personal responsibility for lifelong learning and personal development

  • through clinical supervision, appraisal
    and maintaining compliance with Trust
    mandatory training.
