Following the promotion of our Infectious Diseases Clinical Nurse Specialist, an exciting opportunity has arisen to join a team of motivated and dynamic children's service. The successful candidate will be working in an award-winning team. The post requires continued collaboration with the acute and community paediatric leads within North Middlesex Hospital and across North Central London.
We are seeking an experienced children's nurse, with experience in acute and community, children or neonatal services practicing at band 6 level or above. The team that you will work with you is talented, motivated, and expanding with several exciting new roles concurrently advertised. We are looking for a candidate who will be visible, patient and staff focused to work within this excellent team.
This is the perfect role for an nurse who wishes to pursue a CNS role in Infectious Diseases. For internal applications this post could be considered as a secondment with your direct line manager support.
The post holder will act as a role model, providing clinical expertise and a care co-ordinator role in the care of children affected by Infectious Diseases and their families attending North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Trust. In addition, the post holder will provide education and consultation widely to professional colleagues at NMUH, across London, and specifically the North Central Sector network, throughout the United Kingdom and abroad. The overall aim of this post is to promote a progressive attitude to the continual improvement of patient care through research, development and innovation.
To work as a member of the multi-disciplinary team within the hospital, providing nursing leadership in Infectious Diseases within the Hospital and across the clinical networks.
To work closely with the in-patient ward and liaising with other clinical areas in collaboration with the other members of the team and infection control nursing teams.
To support children and their families during diagnosis and with adherence to therapy; be responsible for the co-ordination and efficient management of patient care in hospital and follow-up in the Outpatient Clinic at NMUH, ensuring appropriate liaison occurs with local services and other agencies., NMUH North Middlesex University Hospital NHS Hospital Trust (NMUH) is one of London's busiest healthcare providers, providing hospital care and community services for the 350,000 people living in Enfield, Haringey and beyond.
