Clinical Nurse Specialist, Palliative Care, Band 6

The Specialist Palliative Care Team provide complex symptom control interventions and manage complex needs to patients across the Trust, as well as providing education and support to fulfil the Trust's end of life improvement plan. We are looking for a registered nurses with experience in palliative care to join our team.

You would be expected to work as a clinical nurse specialist and with support of the team, assess and manage patients with complex palliative care needs.

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated person who has insight into the role. Knowledge and skills around symptom management as well as managing complex psychosocial issues and an ability to manage sensitive and honest conversations. Working with a supportive team, we work 9-5, Monday - Friday with rotation onto the oncall service rota.

The specialist palliative care has been evaluated positively as a cohesive team within our most recent staff survey results. Alongside duties, you will be given access to six weekly clinical discussion groups as well as monthly education sessions for revalidation.
