Full Job Description

An opportunity has arisen for a full-time Upper GI Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the Gastroenterology CNS team at Barts Health NHS Trust at Whipps Cross Hospital site

The post holderwill provide expert care and advice to deliver services reflecting the needs of patients with Upper GI and Hepatobiliary cancer ensuring the delivery of high quality, clinically effective care throughout the patient pathway.

The post-holder will continue to develop and provide Nurse-Led clinics for patients presenting with new onset jaundice, Upper GI and hepatobiliary cancer.

We can offer a supportive environment within an experienced, well established Gastroenterology Specialist Nursing team., To develop, implement and evaluate a seamless nurse specialist service, ensuring that patients with upper GI and hepatobiliary malignancy attending hospital receive the highest standard of clinical care, and have access to a fully comprehensive support service.

The clinical nurse specialist for Upper GI cancers will influence patient care through clinical practice, management, leadership, education, research, audit and professional activities considering corporate and directorate objectives and the clinical governance framework.

To act as a resource for teaching and educating patients and staff
