Clinical Nurse Specialist - Vascular

An exciting opportunity has arisen at MSE for a Clinical Nurse Specialist within the Vascular Service. Where you will be required to work across the different hospital sites of Mid and South Essex Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. The successful applicant for this post will be expected to work across both Basildon and Southend Sites.

The Vascular Service is looking for a highly motivated, dynamic, enthusiastic and experienced nurse to work in conjunction with the Vascular multi-disciplinary team who is focused on providing high -quality care and the post would suit somebody with excellent communication skills, a good understanding of change management and a flexible approach to working.

You will be required to work autonomously as well as part of the team, in which there is the potential to develop this role for the right candidate and this will involve providing specialist nursing care, education and support for individuals with Vascular Conditions as both inpatients and outpatients and working alongside the nursing, vascular surgical and allied health professional within the clinical division.

You will liaise with the multi-disciplinary teams (MDT), GP and community teams to promote a holistic and personalised approach to care that is well coordinated and integrated., The key to providing a high-quality service is the credible nursing presence that can provide inspiration, leadership and proactive management. The Vascular Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) will therefore be a highly visible and accessible, with a demonstrable commitment to improving the quality of patient care across MSEFT.

You will need to be an experienced nurse will, who will support the Lead Vascular CNS to deliver the MSEFT Vascular service, autonomously assess both Vascular inpatients and outpatients, including initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of care whilst demonstrating safe, senior clinical decision making and expert care for patients providing appropriate clinical management plans and along with the medical teams advise any medication required.

You will demonstrate critical thinking in the clinical decision-making process, working collaboratively with the Lead Vascular CNS and Vascular Team to meet the needs of the patients and will play a key role in service delivery and adherence to policy and procedures., We work together, and in conjunction with MSE Health and Care Partnership, to deliver excellent local and specialist services, to improve the health and wellbeing of our patients in a compassionate way, and provide a respectful, but vibrant place for staff to develop, innovate and build careers.
