Full Job Description
We are looking for a Clinical Operational Manager to join our West Kent Rehab Team. This is a role working half from home and half from a KCHFT site. As a result of a review of the organisational structure of rehab and therapies has been reviewed, this exciting post has been created! You will be accountable and reasonable for are WK community rehab (including MDT therapists), WK falls and WK community neuro teams. The vision is that a clinical operational manager for the West Kent footprint supports visible leadership , an improved ability to engage with staff more flexibly and to be more responsive to service demand as an increase in demand is a major challenge we face. It also allows you to be fully involved across the HCP such as frailty and intermediate care transformation projects. In turn this all feeds into achieve our organisational ambitions. The post is based from home but visible leadership across the 3 sites is expected. You will be part of the wider rehab & therapy leadership team which includes the clinical operational managers for community hospital therapy teams, adult speech & language therapy, community adult dietetics and HEN, oncology and paediatric dietetics as well as the East Kent rehab & neuro rehab counterparts. You will work collaboratively with EK counterparts to reduce the variation in service delivery, wherever contractually possible, and ensure sharing of good practice across rehab and therapies. Main duties of the job You will hold overall responsibility and accountability for operational management of West Kent community rehab team, community neuro rehab team and falls service. You'll work with clinical operational managers of EK community rehab, EK community neuro team and community hospital therapists to ensure seamless care and equitable service provision as far as local commissions deviation allows. You'll establish and maintain strong links with primary and secondary care, social services, service users and other providers that support continuous service development and be responsible for the effective and efficient delivery of care within services including meeting contracted and clinically optimal waiting time.
