Full Job Description

The successful candidate will be working alongside a multidisciplinary team to ensure robust preadmission processes are followed to enable all patients to experience a safe and seamless experience., This post is intended to support the Clinical Pathway Manager in overseeing all I&PC patients within GOSH, regardless of their referral route or physical location within the Trust.

  • To provide excellent evidence-based nursing care for children and their families
  • To act as a role model and clinical expert in paediatric nursing, providing specialised advice in relation to care
  • To work with administration and clinical staff to maximise the efficient utilisation of I&PC bed capacity
  • To be responsible for the co-ordination of the preadmission process for all I&PC patients within GOSH
  • To utilise IT systems to support and facilitate improved and streamlined discharge processes
  • Facilitate high quality experience and customer care for patients/ families and all other stakeholder
  • To demonstrate an innovative attitude to the continual improvement of patient and customer care through research and evidence-based practice
  • Provide and receive complex, sensitive information concerning patients

    You will be organised, have excellent communication skills. Ideally, you will have previous band 6 clinical experience (or be a band 5 with nurse in charge experience) and a sound knowledge base in paediatric nursing across multiple specialities.
