Clinical Pharmacist

The post holder will contribute to the planning and delivery of specialist mental health clinical pharmacy services as part of the CWP pharmacy team. This will include working as a member of the multidisciplinary team to ensure that pharmaceutical care needs of patients are met, ensuring that medicines management standards are upheld in all areas of the trust and providing education on safe and effective use of medication to medical and nursing staff, patients and carers. The post holder will provide professional support and supervision to pre-registration and student pharmacists., Recruitment selection processes are based on competence (see Person specification) and values.

An opportunity has arisen within our team for an enthusiastic and highly motivated pharmacist with excellent communication skills to provide high quality Mental Health clinical pharmacy services. This position offers the chance to develop clinical, operational, and managerial skills. Applicants should be able to work within a team, be proactive and have a keen interest in mental health. Mental health experience is desirable but not essential.
This post is Fixed term: 15 months (Maternity cover)
For a band 7 post, you will have at least 2 years post-registration experience, be completing or have completed clinical pharmacy post-graduate study and possess well-developed clinical pharmacy skills.
