Full Job Description

You will provide clinical services to our Acute Admissions Unit at weekends which will be worked as part of your contracted hours on a rotational basis.
Experience with Electronic Prescribing is desirable as the Trust uses the Cerner E-Prescribing system on the wards.
The opportunity to develop education and training skills exists as you will participate in the clinical training and supervision of trainee pharmacists and support less experienced pharmacists., The Trust has defined its culture as one that is patient centred which puts safety first and where all staff take responsibility, are valued and value each other. To support this, our five values are that we are all:
Caring - we design and deliver care around each individual patient's needs and wants
Safe - we make the safety of patients and staff our prime concern (safety comes first)
Responsible - all staff take responsibility for the hospital, its services and reputation
Value each other - we all value each other's contribution
Inspiring - we always strive to empower each other to develop and deliver improvements to benefit our patients
Our training, policies, procedures, and practices are all intended to support behaviours in line with our values and all staff are expected to uphold these by 'Living Our Values Everyday'

Do you want to take on the challenge of more responsibility but are not yet ready to specialise? Then come and join us!
We are looking for enthusiastic pharmacists who want to work as part of a strong team to improve medicines optimisation for our patients.
You will be able to build on your previous knowledge and experience taking on more responsibility while rotating through critical care, medical admissions, different medical specialities, general surgery and adult TPN ward rounds
You will be predominantly ward based in the clinical rotations but will also be trained and gain experience in specialist areas including paediatrics / NNU, Homecare and Biologics screening, Haematology, Antimicrobials and the OPAT service. This post provides a great opportunity to gain experience in various rotations and further develop their skills to progress your career., You are required to be fully registered with the GPhC and have post-registration NHS hospital experience working as a clinical pharmacist on wards. Knowledge of JAC would be an advantage.
