Clinical Practice Based (Independent prescribing) Pharmacist

With a practice ethos of, a growth mentality through the provision of a nurturing working environment leads to excellent patient services, we are looking to expand with the recruitment of a Clinical Pharmacist, able to prescribe independently, to our clinical Pharmacy team.

You will be joining our innovative and dynamic team consisting of Clinical Pharmacists, Script and Administrative support teams. With an experienced Lead Clinical Pharmacist, with over 30 years of experience in both private and multiple community pharmacy, including over 8 years in Primary Care Clinical Pharmacy, we provide empathic support, guidance and training opportunities., Develop and maintain good working relationships with all relevant staff involved in providing healthcare across Southern Derbyshire.

Develop and maintain good relationships with all patients encountered through the role

Lead delegated areas within the delivery of GP clinical pharmacy by managing and developing and overseeing systems and processes to deliver the service.

Maintain registration as a pharmacist and comply with professional codes using own caseload to maintain pharmacy competence

Maintain personal indemnity insurance including vicarious liability cover at the practice

Plan and organise agreed practice workload with the practice

Comply with all organisational and statutory requirements (e.g. health and safety, equal treatment and diversity, confidentiality and clinical governance)

Undertake any other duties commensurate with the post holders grade and experience as agreed with the GP practice.

Horizon Healthcare has a list size of 24,000 plus patients, who are served by multi-disciplinary teams of both administrative and healthcare professional colleagues, of which the Pharmacy team plays an integral part.For this we offer competitive rates of pay based on experience and skill levels, as well as flexibility around start/finish times.

Depending on experience We are not AfC but pay scale for the role is based on Level 8A
