Full Job Description

The purpose of this exciting Clinical & Professional Specialist in Sleep & Respiratory Care (S&RC) is to drive professional recommendation of the product categories for the UK in developing and executing the professional marketing plans, in alignment with Clinical & Professional Marketing Manager S&RC, Clinical & Professional Marketing Managers for Categories and the local Commercial Leader. You are responsible for:

  • Improving the lives of people with sleep & respiratory disorders by providing innovative solutions and products
  • Increasing brand preference and customer loyalty with professional stakeholders ( for example indirect channel partners, DME's, homecare providers)
  • Contribute to profitable growth by driving prescriptions from clinical societies (medical community: physicians, nurses, technicians)
  • Engage & educate prof. & clinical societies, customers, and organizations representing patients
  • Establish trusted relationships with local stakeholders in clinical and professional societies (and DME's, dealers and HCP's) by bringing added value and clinical and technical support
  • Provide the clinical benefits of Philips products and technical advice
  • Product demos for clinical audiences (prescribers, organizations representing patients, local HCP)
  • Participate in local events, congresses, etc.
  • Understand local Mktg. needs (congresses, studies, etc.)
  • Provide toolkit requirements to Business and localize toolkits, enabling lobbying, KOL engagement and connected solutions
  • Collaborate with Clinical & Professional marketing Manager for Categories
  • Owns & prioritizes KOL/clinical relationship and drives KOL/clinical engagement
  • Education management
  • Set up education program for internal and external stakeholders
  • Drives professional recommendation of the brand (MOR) by executing marketing strategies
  • Consulted in the selection and organization of participation in events to engage with the professional target audience
  • Contribute to localization and publication in relevant media of clinical evidence as developed by Business.
  • Collaborates with C&PM Manager for Categories to ensure professional marketing communication as needed is in place, support execution of local marketing activation towards professionals together with local Clinical & Professional Marketing Manager for Categories and C&PM Specialist.
  • Takes lead in training local teams (clinical & professional marketers, key account managers, …) and ensuring sales force effectiveness and equipment with latest clinical evidence
  • Collaborates with &PM Manager for Categories to deploy locally relevant professional marketing deliverables, product portfolio, and business models
  • Contributes to Business innovation & New Business Development projects ensuring local market portfolio/innovation and business model needs are met
  • You are part of the UKI Sleep & Respiratory Care (S&RC) organisation, reporting into the Commercial & Clinical Professional Marketing Leader S&RC UK

  • Deep practical knowledge of clinical and health economics domains at the department level (Pulmonology, Neurology, ENT and Sleep or Cardio Clinicians) to understand impact on customers and patient outcome.
  • Ability to orchestrate the influence of KOL's and drive market development through clinical and marketing activities.
  • Understanding of Care pathways, and ability to recognize and potentially facilitate removing barriers for future new clinical approach on them. This effort requires significant Clinical expertise to drive medical acceptance.
  • Outstanding business acumen; knows the industry, can quickly learn the Philips business model and value proposition, key competitors, and other marketplace factors/dynamics while effectively working in complex matrix organization
  • Financial Knowledge is recommended to understands revenue & margin management
  • Good practical ICT knowledge and experience in implementing and using digital solutions in the Connected Care environment. Able to support users of patient management platforms (like "CareOrchestrator") for efficient patient management.
  • Bringing people together and aligning them around common goals; leverages the power of Philips independent from organizational structures and reports
  • Champion growth of marketing- and sales colleagues across the organization
  • Customer intimacy: driven by a strong external focus
  • Problem Solving capabilities. Able to find solutions to difficult or complex issues. Drives continuous improvement via Lean
  • Willing to travel, with potential overnight stays dependent on location (1 - 2 nights / week)
