Full Job Description

Would you like to make a real difference for patients in Norfolk and Waveney through Clinical Transformation?

In order to support major clinical transformation programmes, the Planned Care and Cancer team are seeking two enthusiastic, committed individuals with a passion for change and innovation to join its dedicated National Clinical Programmes team.

Both posts are offered on a Secondment or Fixed Term basis.

These roles will bring together clinicians, service leads, commissioners and the public with a key aim of ensuring a commonality of approach from all stakeholder organisations in delivering the objectives of the clinical programmes.

You would be expected to provide strong system leadership and programme management across a range of clinical transformation programmes covering the areas of Cardiac Services, Diabetes, Weight Management, Stroke Services, Respiratory Disease, and Renal.

If you are someone who enjoys making a difference and would like to help people in Norfolk and Waveney live longer, healthier and happier lives then we would love to hear from you!, The post holders would be expected to support the management of these clinical transformation programmes, in line with the strategic priorities of the Integrated Care Board (ICB), working in partnership with health and care organisations across the system and region.

The post holders will take responsibility for leading collaboration across these organisations and the development of relationships that will support clinical transformation across the ICB. The roles require autonomous working within a virtual system team and the ability to matrix work across organisations. The post holders will be required to adhere to multiple deadlines with priorities that could change on a regular basis and be able to use their initiative to identify their own priorities and to communicate these across organisational boundaries in a structured way.

The post holders will have experience of managing programmes of work and delivering results on time. The post holders will have previous experience in developing and maintain contracts and service specifications. While the post-holders will initially work on the programmes described above, they may be required to be flexible and provide support or leadership to other work programmes as required by the National Clinical Programmes Team.

Health and care services in Norfolk and Waveney are working closely together to further improve services and provide more joined-up care for local people. In Norfolk and Waveney, we have already achieved a lot by working in partnership to improve health and care outcomes. These changes have been made possible by different organisations - NHS hospitals, GPs, mental health and community health services, local councils, care homes and social workers, voluntary and community organisations and others - joining forces to agree and plan for local people's needs.

Norfolk and Waveney Integrated Care System (ICS) includes a statutory Integrated Care Partnership (ICP), and an Integrated Care Board (ICB) called NHS Norfolk and Waveney. This partnership and organisation is dedicated to making sure that organisations work together for the benefit of our residents, staff and communities and is an important step change, helping to create positive differences to local people and joining up health and social care. This is the culmination of many years of effort to build partnership working across the NHS, local authorities, the third sector and patient groups.
