Full Job Description

This post will ensure the development, systematic provision, and evaluation of a high-quality specialist neuropsychology service to patients within the newly established service at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital. The successful applicant will be responsible for neuropsychological assessments and formulations and the integration of this information into the wider multidisciplinary team care management for these patients. There will be close liaison within the network (Newcastle NHS Foundation Trust) and with the patient's local services. The post will include including multidisciplinary work with senior colleagues in clinical genetics, paediatrics, speech and language therapy, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Paediatric Psychosocial Service at Royal Manchester Children's Hospital (RMCH) is a Specialist Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) team for children and young people who are being treated at the Royal Manchester Childrens Hospital and other hospitals. Our team includes clinical psychologists, psychotherapists and psychiatrists who have skills in helping children, young people and their families.
On this occasion we are offering different roles to create the Fetal Exposure to Medicines Service (FEMS). This is a newly NHS England funded pilot of a multi-disciplinary service for children and adults exposed to medications with known or suspect teratogenic properties.
This service will run initially for 18 months across Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and Newcastle University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust., MFT is one of the largest NHS Trust In England with a turnover of £2.6bn & is on a different scale than most other NHS Trusts.
