Clinical Psychologist / Counselling Psychologist / Psychotherapist

We are excited to be offering an opportunity for a keen, creative clinical, counselling or psychotherapist to join our service on a fixed term one year contract, either on a full or part time basis. We are looking for a psychological professional who is passionate about working with cancer patients and/or within acute clinical health settings, and enjoy working with both patient and staff groups.The post holder will be joining a supportive and passionate group of psychologists who are interested in providing compassionate evidence based psychological support to people living with cancer, and to co-design and co-deliver innovative interventions for all patients accessing the service., To provide specialist psychological input (individual, family and group input) to patients referred to Cancer Psychological Therapies.

To support the service in managing its waiting list.

To provide Level 2 Clinical Discussion Groups for Cancer Nurse Specialists, and to contribute to delivering Level 2 training across NEL.

To offer staff support and consultation to members of the wider oncology, haematology and palliative care teams at BHRUT.

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,313 to a maximum of £5,436 p.a. pro rata for part time).
