Full Job Description

Crisis team: Providing intensive support to people in their own homes to both avoid admission and support discharge from hospital. Opportunities for short- and longer-term input, including supporting through admissions, and continuing work on discharge to the CMHT.

The team have not previously had psychology so this is a great opportunity to create and develop your role, embedding psychological and trauma-informed ways of working, and supporting the staff team through consultancy, formulation, supervision and training.

CMHT: You will be part of a team that really values psychology input, psychologically informed ways of working and multidisciplinary work. Working alongside our established Principal CP and newly qualified colleague you will support the MDT as a senior colleague by providing staff support, training, consultancy and supervision.

We are looking for someone with a clear interest in working with older people.

Join our growing Older Peoples Psychology team in West Yorkshire! This post in Calderdales Intensive Support Team (ISTC), the older adults crisis team, is one of several resulting from significant investment in our services. The post will also involve working with the older adults CMHT.

There is flexibility with regard to WTE, and some opportunity to work from home.

Supported by our established Principal and Consultant CPs, plus the wider network of OPS Psychologists across the Trust. We really value developing our staff with CPD opportunities and potential to develop the post in line with your own interests.

Available at 8a for a candidate with appropriate experience. There is also potential to join the service at band 7 and undertake a development plan with the aim of developing the required competencies for an 8a post.

The candidate would need to successfully complete the competency framework to gain the band 8a and this would not be achieved solely due to length of time in post.
