This in an exciting opportunity to join Salford CAMHS, working with complex Cases in Core CAMHS., To ensure the development, systematic provision, coordination and evaluation of a high-quality specialist evidence based assessment and intervention to young people referred to the team. Responsibilities may include:
- Assessment and intervention with children, teenagers, young adults, and families
- Work with schools, colleges and other community-based professionals working with children, teenagers, and young adults.
- Consultation, support, and provision of advice
- Utilising research skills for audit, policy and service development and research
- Staff training
- Liaison and effective teamwork will be required with staff from wider health, community, and education as appropriate
- Support the development of an evidence base for relevant conditions and outcomes affecting patients treated with our services. We are keen to promote innovative practice, as well as traditional individual psychological assessment and intervention.
If you are Clinical Psychologist or experienced Mental Health Practitioner who is looking to share and your knowledge and skills working with children and families, have excellent mental assessment and formulation skills and can work therapeutically we would love to hear from you. A skilled practitioner with mental health knowledge who can work in a busy team, manage risk and is passionate about offering intervention for children and families will thrive in this role. Working with children and families presenting with a range of mental health challenges, you will have opportunity to develop core clinical skills in assessment, formulation, therapy, consultation and supervision of others. We offer a robust supervision and development structure in terms of psychological therapies training within the Trust and across Greater Manchester to access specialist training in line with your own and the team's needs.
