Full Job Description

The Early Intervention in Psychosis Service (EIP) works to support the recovery of people aged 14 to 65 years presenting with their first episode of psychosis., To provide highly specialist psychological assessment and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy, as an autonomous practitioner working within professional guidelines and the organisational structure of the Service's policies and procedures. The post holder will place an emphasis on co-production and demonstrate an attitude which respects and values clients' and their carers and the core values of the trust: patients and people first; partnership; and respect.

Clinical advice, supervision, teaching, support and communication are integral to the role.

Participation in research, evaluation and audit is expected.

The post holder will work with people with different cultural backgrounds and ages, using interpreters when necessary and should be committed to equal opportunities.

The post holder will be a Practitioner Psychologist or be BABCP accredited holding a postgraduate diploma level or equivalent generic CBT training (in the form of a CBT training programme or in the course of training as a clinical psychologist), plus additional specialised CBTp training or a willingness to become CBTp trained. However we will also consider applicants who have completed training in CBT but are not yet BABCP accredited to apply for the post as a Band 6 post, with a development plan to work towards accreditation.
