Full Job Description

The successful applicant will be working with the departmental audit leads to assist completion of projects and conduct audits required for departmental accreditation Anaesthesia - The post holder will have the opportunity to further develop their clinical interest and be expected to be involved in departmental meetings and events. There are opportunities to be involved in anaesthetic audit and research. Intensive care - The post holder would be part of the intensive care team and be expected to be involved in audit and research currently being conducted by the intensive care units. Obstetric Anaesthia- The post holder will have the opportunity to work within one of the busiest maternity units in the county, the department is actively involved in research and innovative care in this speciality. Perioperative medicine - The successful applicant will have the opportunity to be involved and help develop all aspects of perioperative care, including pre-operative optimisation, CPET testing, morbidity and mortality scoring, high risk clinics and virtual assessments.

As a training hub within the East Midlands there are several work streams across the Trust and University of Leicester involving task training, simulation, high stakes assessment and continuing professional development. The successful candidate will be part of the training faculty responsible for the oversight and quality management of education and innovating to meet the changing needs of healthcare professionals.
