Full Job Description

  • The post holder will support the co-ordination and management of clinical research projects, collaborating with key personnel throughout the trust and network to ensure continued care and support for patients involved in clinical trials.
  • The main focus of the role will be in supporting the delivery and development of the research portfolio through identification of suitable participants, co-ordination, recruitment, performance and maintenance of study documentation.
  • The post holder will ensure that any research undertaken safeguards the well-being of research participants and is conducted to ICH Good Clinical Practice.

    The postholder of this new role will work within the WHRC research team and be able to develop specialist research skills with new opportunities in a vibrant and dynamic environment. There may be opportunities to work on a variety of other projects within the areas of gynaecology and maternity and the ideal candidate will have interest in the improvement of women's health, an enthusiasm to learn, attention to detail and a willingness to work collaboratively.

    The Women's Health Research Centre (WHRC) at Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust / Imperial College London is at the forefront of research aimed at improving outcomes and experiences in women's reproductive health and childbirth.
  • At the current time, WHRC is looking to appoint a Clinical Research Assistant Practitioner to work on the Generation Study which is sponsored by Genomics England. The study focuses on screening neonates for approximately 200 rare conditions at birth using umbilical cord blood. The postholder will assist with sample collection, data management and registration of participants whilst adhering to the principles of GCP.
