Full Job Description
The purpose of the job is to provide coordination of the delivery of iMAPS clinical trial in collaboration with the study CI (A.Sanchez-Fueyo), trial manager (J.Wall) and other investigators. This will involve consenting study participants, randomizing study participants on the day of transplantation, coordinating the delivery of the liver perfusion techniques, sample collection, data collection and analysis. This is a full time post (40 hours per week), and you will be offered a fixed term contract until 14/02/2026., We pride ourselves on being inclusive and welcoming. To be successful in this role, we are looking for candidates to have the following skills and experience,
- Science (BSc) degree
- Medical degree (MD)
- Completed general surgery specialty training
- Fellowship in hepatobiliary surgery
- Experience in basic laboratory techniques and in managing clinical specimens
- Full GMC / NMC / other relevant body registration with valid license to practice
- Experience in performing liver biopsies and managing complications Desirable criteria
- Previous experience in clinical research
- Participation in scientific publications in hepatobiliary surgery
- Capacity to work within a multi-disciplinary clinical academic team
- Knowledge of laboratory risk and safety measures
