Full Job Description

We're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic full time Band 6 Clinical Research Nurse to coordinate and deliver clinical research studies in the thoracic oncology hub.

You'll be joining an award-winning and diverse team of experts at MFT who are making a difference to the future of care in the NHS by asking questions and finding out the answers.

We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual with clinical research experience or oncology experience who is capable of contributing to the development of research within our Thoracic Oncology research Team -Medical Oncology Unit and work effectively around studies in TORCH portfolio based at Wythenshawe Hospital

The Team Facilitates and Supports the delivery of research within Thoracic Oncology research Team. You will work Closely with members of the Wider Thoracic Oncology Research teams, who are engaged in an extensive lung Health Cancer Portfolio., The post holder will be a key member of the clinical research team. They will assist in the management, co-ordination and facilitation of clinical trial activities to support delivery of current and future studies in the research team to time and target. They will provide specialist research and clinical care for participants and patients enrolling in a variety of research studies and project.

She/he/they will work across in Medical Oncology unit working on Clinical Trials involved in administration of CTIMPS (chemotherapy and Immunotherapy drug Trials)IV, IM, Sc ,orally etc .Support the team to work around other studies under TORCH portfolio and thereby support research studies across MFT site as the service as needed.

The post holder will have a key role in providing and maintaining appropriate patient/ participant -focused environment within the Clinical research setting. They will work with clinical investigators and sponsor companies to assist in the management of trial protocols. They will ensure data collection is to its highest standards, facilitating the production of good quality research with a commitment to the patient's safety and wellbeing.

She/he/they will be expected to participate fully in their own personal development and review process in order to achieve the knowledge and skills identified in the competency framework and competencies for this post.

You will be educated to degree level or have equivalent Knowledge and Experience in Clinical research or Oncology. Substantially experience of working in a clinical or Patient Facing environment. Flexible approach to work Pattern.
