Full Job Description

Our shared vision is to improve outcomes for everyone at risk of and affected by cancer across the UK; through development of new approaches to prevention, more accurate and earlier diagnosis, and bespoke therapies, underpinned by smart use of data and technology. The BRC is seeking a Clinical Research Operations Coordinator to provide a high-quality service for clinical researchers and partners of the BRC. The post holder will be responsible for providing administrative support for clinical research operations within the department. This can include the coordination of meetings internally as well as with external partners, providing administrative support to the research funding function of the department. The Clinical Research Coordinator will be a member of the BRC team and will provide administrative support to the clinical research business of The Royal Marsden and the Institute of Cancer Research. The post holder will be responsible for the efficient administrative support for meetings/committees/for a related to the research funding team and a number of research programmes such as the Oncology Translational Research Collaboration, Cancer Treatment Effects BRC Theme, the National Cancer Rehabilitation Collaborative, in addition to other duties / responsibilities commensurate with the role and banding, including managing databases and finance invoices. The post holder will work at all times with a high degree of discretion and initiative, respecting confidentiality of information. The post holder will frequently be the first point of contact for key stakeholders and will develop excellent working relationships both internally and externally.,

  • Process the payment of and raising new invoices etc through use of SBS.
  • Process expense claims or payments for bank hours.
  • Be a point of contact for queries from staff, external bodies or the public and to respond to or redirect these to the appropriate member of staff as appropriate
  • Be responsible for maintaining own professional development and be aware of current practices and future developments within The Royal Marsden and the ICR.
  • Participate in any training and personal development as self-identified or identified by the post's line manager.
