Full Job Description

This is a patient facing role for a research practitioner within our new Clinical Research Facility at North Manchester General Hospital. The post holder will be required to be knowledgeable about clinical research and clinical trials, and training and support will be provided to achieve this. Their main roles will be to support patient recruitment across a range of trials delivered by the CRF. Responsibilities will include phoning patients to approach them about research opportunities, explain studies and processes to them, requiring a good level of knowledge and communication skills. They will also be required assist the medical and nursing team in the collection of research data and research samples. There will also be an expectation to develop sample processing laboratory skills, handling biological samples such as blood, urine and sputum.

The successful applicant must be able to work well within in a team, show initiative, and be flexible in their approach to challenges. This is an excellent opportunity for those interested in improving patient engagement and recruitment and acquiring new transferable skills.
