Full Job Description

If you enjoy collaborating with stakeholders to ensure well-governed delivery of high-quality healthcare and wellbeing support and have a clinical background with experience in clinical governance in the UK setting, ideally within healthcare protection and/or insurance, we would love to hear from you! A bit about the job: You will be a member of the friendly and highly-engaged Aviva Health UK (AHUK) Clinical Risk & Governance Team. You will provide clinical governance support across the full product lifecycle of Aviva Protection. This will include producing and embedding Protection's clinical risk management framework across Individual and Group Protection and oversighting clinical suppliers. You will support Aviva Health in the harmonisation of its digital health propositions, ensuring consideration of applicable healthcare legislation and regulatory frameworks. Successful execution of this role will help support optimal clinical outcomes for Aviva Health and Aviva Protection customers and protect Aviva from litigation and reputational risks.

  • Comprehensive knowledge of UK healthcare and its regulation. Knowledge of and exposure to digital/international healthcare and/or insurance regulation is desirable.
  • Experience of working in either a senior clinical/clinical governance role in the NHS or, nationally or internationally, the private healthcare sector. Alternatively, experience of working in health or protection insurance, or in a healthcare regulatory role.
  • Demonstrable experience in clinical risk identification, management, clinical audit activities and a customer-focused approach.
  • Previous experience with the oversight of healthcare pathways, including digital healthcare is desirable.
  • Evidence of the ability to draft clear and succinct reports on clinical governance matters and present findings to senior leadership and business committees.

  • Salary Salary £45,000 - £50,000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
