In this pivotal role, you will work closely with senior leadership to execute our professional services strategy, ensuring our clinical teams meet the highest standards of care.   • Lead the development of governance frameworks to safeguard clinical excellence and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Collaborate with senior management to align clinical services with business goals, driving both growth and innovation.
  • Engage with industry leaders, regulatory bodies, and professional organisations to position Vision Express as a leader in optical care.
  • Oversee clinical complaints and legal claims, ensuring swift and professional resolutions.
  • Partner with the Learning & Development team to enhance the skills of optical professionals through targeted training programs.

  • Optical expertise: Registered Optometrist or Dispensing Optician with a proven track record in clinical services, ideally in a leadership or management role.
  • Leadership skills: Experience in leading teams, developing policies, and fostering collaboration with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
  • Regulatory knowledge: Deep understanding of General Optical Council (GOC) regulations, General Ophthalmic Services (GOS) contracts, and other relevant industry standards.
  • Problem-solver: Ability to handle clinical complaints and negligence claims, ensuring legally compliant and customer-focused solutions.
  • Stakeholder engagement: Skilled at building strong relationships with internal teams, regulatory bodies, and professional organisations.
  • Commercial acumen: Able to align clinical services with broader business goals, driving growth and innovation while maintaining operational efficiency
