Full Job Description

Whitstable Medical Practice has a vacancy for a Clinical Services Receptionist based at Estuary View Medical Practice. This role will support the current reception team during busy hours along with the reception for our Wet AMD clinic. The role includes regular liaison with patients and the booking of appointments over the telephone, face to face and clinic administration., The person appointed will have previous receptionist and/or administrative experience gained from a Primary Care setting or within the NHS. They will have excellent communication, organisation and IT skills. Attention to detail, being a team player and ability to pick up new tasks quickly will be essential for this role. Furthermore, the successful candidate will be an effective problem solver, willing to use their own initiative to make decisions and complete set tasks within a timely manner.

Whitstable Medical Practice is a forward thinking GP Practice based across 3 sites in the attractive harbour town of Whitstable. There are 24 equity partners and 1 salaried GP a looking after 43,500 patients. We pride ourselves on our innovative approach to primary care. We are founder members of an NHS New Models of Care Vanguard and a training practice. We run AQP contracts for Cataract Surgery, Ultrasound, Dermatology, Physical Therapies and Audiology together with community contracts, a Day Surgery Suite and Urgent Treatment Centre with digital x-ray.

The hours will be 30 hours per week Monday to Friday, work pattern to be confirmed.

The starting hourly rate of pay is £11.44 per hour rising to £12.20 per hour after a successful probationary period of 6 months.
