Full Job Description
The post holder will be responsible for the specialist care of a patient or group of patients assessing, development, implementation and evaluation of care. They will be required to offer clinical support to the B7 Nurse in Charge and staff on duty throughout the 24 hour period. The main responsibilities of the role will be related to specialist clinical expertise within the acute Coronary Care setting with an emphasis on training and development of junior and new staff. The post holder is expected to be part of the trust cardiac arrest team. The post holder will also provide clinical cover for Non Invasive Testing Clinics at both FHN & JCUH site., South Tees Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust offers leadership and improvement training to all new staff to the Trust; this training programme has been designed to support our leaders in developing their understanding of leadership and management skills. You will be expected to attend the leadership development programme, and the Quality Improvement Programme that the Trust delivers. This programme aims to:
+ Explore leadership within the NHS
+ Promote Trust Values and Behaviours
+ Develop your Leadership effectiveness and skills
+ Practitioner level in quality improvement, equipping you with the skills to champion, lead and complete quality improvement within your role
After you complete this four and a half days of training you will be able to explore further leadership and improvement training opportunities, we offer further in-house courses dependent upon your role and bitesize programmes and leadership apprenticeships at level 3,5 and 7.

An opportunity has arisen for a motivated, enthusiastic and dedicated nurse to join our team on the Coronary Care Unit (CCU). This is a regional centre providing acute coronary care services for patients from Durham and Tees Valley in addition to the local population. Experience is preferable, but not essential as the successful applicants will have opportunity to develop their clinical skills supported by in-house training.
The CCU is committed to the advancement of acute cardiac services and applicants should be supportive and enthusiastic towards developments.
