Full Job Description
- Accountable for own actions in accordance with the Code of Professional Conduct. Will contribute to corporate objectives, acting within local, Trust and statutory guidelines and policies at all times.
- Effectively communicate information regarding clinical decisions, policy and care pathways to patients/carers and the multi-professional team including situations where difficulties in comprehension occur.
- A skilled practitioner and clinical leader providing support to the management team, participating in service/policy development.
- Responsible for clinical assessment of a group of patients and management of a team, ensuring appropriate care is planned, implemented and evaluated/audited, involving patients and users.
- Organisation of cross-departmental/organisational activities including HR, resource, and bleep-holder responsibilities as appropriate.
- Demonstrate highly technical and/or practical skills to ensure optimum patient management including; complex patient monitoring; equipment management and frequent administration of invasive tests/procedures.
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, experienced Nurse to apply for a full time post as a Band 6 Clinical Sister/Charge Nurse on Ward 23 Head & Neck / Urology. The ideal candidate would have complex airway management skills including Tracheostomy and Laryngectomy, however this is not a requirement and you can gain these once in post. The candidate should be able to demonstrate high standards of patient care, have excellent communication skills and be able to engage other staff in improvement initiatives to inspire the ward in their accreditation journey.
