+ Assist the Clinical Team manager in the clinical management of the Service, providing day to day clinical leadership
+ Demonstrate enhanced competence in complex decision making, clinical reasoning assessment and the management of clinical needs
+ To support and implement clinical governance and performance management initiatives at ward/hospital level.
+ Be lead mentor for student's under the remit of the profession
+ Undertake complex assessment of service users referred to Berkeley House
+ Implement and monitor PBS strategies or equivalent strategies, + Organise and run training for junior staff - including specific learning disability/Autism training
+ Develop and maintain clinical pathways for patients throughout an admission in conjunction with CLDT colleagues and wider Trust resources
+ Implement and monitor a Positive Behaviour Support ethos across the Unit and role model best practice and disseminate knowledge to wider team/care providers
+ Attend and participate in Community of Practice meetings with Clinical Commissioning Group colleagues.
+ Design and complete Audits and monitor compliance alongside agreed governance structures
+ Provide Clinical Supervision to Senior HCA's within the team
+ Act as supervisory mentor for students (within framework of profession)
+ Provide and receive complex and sensitive information from service users, carers or other professionals and agencies, on a daily basis
+ Carry out Independent Prescribing as appropriate within the policy and related protocols if the post holder has the relevant training and qualifications, working with relevant members of the multi-disciplinary team
+ Collate, analyse and present patient data to the weekly Multidisciplinary meetings
+ In partnership with team manager organise and chair Clinical Team Meetings and Patient Orientated meetings
