The South Durham CAMHS are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and confident professional to take an exciting opportunity of becoming a Clinical Specialist Nurse within our diverse and friendly team.We are based at the Acley Centre, however the successful candidate will be expected to travel independently.
In this role, you will offer clinical leadership support to colleagues, participate in service development, co-ordination of the assessment, treatment and management of young people accessing the service. The Clinical Specialist Nurse will offer advice and consultation regarding the management of the client group to colleagues within the team and other agencies, as necessary.
We are looking for someone who is highly motivation with a keen interest for continuing the improvement of our young people's care and treatment. We are proactive in developing and piloting new ways of working, taking in consideration the voices of our Service Users and their Families to develop better ways of working. The service is currently going transformation and as such this is an exciting time to join the team and be a part of the modelling of this transformation.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to recruit a Band 7 Clinical Specialist Nurse, with a recognised qualification in a governed therapy or advanced clinical qualification. Non-Medical Prescriber qualification is desirable, although is it not essential as part of this role.
The successful candidate will be expected to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment and provide clinical leadership within the team, working alongside the Team Manager utilising skills to support team members.
The post holder will be part of a resilient and professional team working collaboratively with internal and external partners to support the needs of those who are experiencing a deterioration in their mental health and their family / carer needs. The team takes a recover orientated, formulation driven approach, which values shared decision making.
Strong team working is essential, requiring networking with a variety of people, as well as working in partnership with a range of different agencies both internal and external to the team.
A commitment to proving a high-quality service and making a difference to young people's and their families experiences and outcomes is paramount to this post.
You will be able to demonstrate strong clinical leadership, coaching skills, excellent / sound knowledge of mental health care, complex risk assessment, safeguarding and its application to practice.
