Full Job Description

This post will be responsible for the provision of specialist clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment as a first point of contact in the Urgent Treatment Centre, as well as the management of acute and chronic musculoskeletal conditions in a lead role within our busy and friendly MSK department at the William Harvey Hospital, Ashford. You will work as part of an experienced outpatient team, with Advanced Practice Therapists in hands, paediatrics, rheumatology, shoulder, spinal and lower limb services., To provide specialist clinical assessment, diagnosis and treatment of service users as a first point of contact in the Urgent Treatment Centre.

To act as a resource to provide specialist clinical opinion on acute injury management to Therapy staff, Medical staff and other members of the Multi-Disciplinary Team within EKHUFT.

To provide a high quality, patient centred and sustainable Musculoskeletal care for the people of East Kent that is efficient; and clinically and cost effective.

To be a professional leader and a role model for excellence in Musculoskeletal care in the Physiotherapy Department at the William Harvey Hospital

To take a lead role alongside 4 band 7s in the clinical and service delivery of Musculoskeletal physiotherapy in the outpatient department.

To be committed in providing safe, effective services and providing patient and families with a positive experience.
