Full Job Description

An exciting opportunity has become available within the North East Assisted Ventilation Service as a Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist. This new role requires an expert practitioner, with a highly developed knowledge and clinical skills in physiotherapy airway clearance and long-term ventilation, to join the NEAVS team. The post holder will act as an autonomous practitioner in leading and developing the long-term ventilation physiotherapy services within NEAVS at the Newcastle Upon Tyne Hospital Trust. There will be a requirement for the Clinical Specialist Physiotherapist to be an active member of the NEAVS team in delivering a service regionally whilst also promoting service improvement amongst with wider MDT.

This exciting new role will also all provide expert clinical leadership through teaching, supervision, advice, guidance and information to the NEAVS Multidisciplinary team, other health care professionals, carers and relatives and other non-professionals across the Trust and Partnership Organisations.
