Full Job Description

The Physiotherapy team is highly regarded within Therapy and Rehabilitation Services at National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery. We are looking for an experienced and highly motivated Band 8a physiotherapist to join the physiotherapy team as a 12 month fixed term contract, covering maternity leave. The band 8a physiotherapist will be jointly responsible for the physiotherapy outpatient service alongside the other 8a OP physiotherapist. You will lead a team of physiotherapists assessing and treating patients with a variety of neurological presentations and vestibular dysfunction. You will give expert physiotherapy advice in the Outpatient MDT clinics including ataxia and facial rehabilitation. The team triages referrals from consultants at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery., There will be opportunities to further develop skills in the assessment and management of patients with neurological presentation and vestibular dysfunction. You must have substantial postgraduate experience of treating patients with a wide variety of neurological and vestibular dysfunction. Effective communication and a positive approach to the management of complex disability are essential. Regular supervision and support for continued professional development is offered, and the opportunity to work on projects within your peer group.
