Full Job Description

This is an exciting opportunity for a physiotherapist to join our multi-disciplinary team to support people living with long term conditions. The role will see you support people with varied conditions such as persistent pain, fatigue, long covid and obesity (Weight management Level 3 service)., Provide a quality service by practicing as a highly specialist autonomouspractitioner across the Powys Living Well Service Pain and Fatigue and Weight Management Pathways.

Participate with the multi-disciplinary/agency team to provide a coordinated approach to management of people's care.

Involve service users, relatives, and carers in a persons management plan,including overcoming barriers to communication, gaining consent for assessment and interventions, and providing advice and education.

Influence the care provided by other Health and Social Care professionsthrough provision of specialist guidance and involvement in formal teaching. Take a proactive role in the clinical leadership and supervision of staff within specialist area. This may include supervising/mentoring MDT staff members and will include participating as a supervisee.

Initiate and undertake audit and research projects into specific areas of clinical practice using a range of methodologies to enhance service delivery. Develop and implement clinical policies, protocols, and guidelines withinspecialty within the framework of clinical governance, evidence-based medicine and best practice.

Participate in MDT training, both providing training and receiving training to develop own skills and those of the MDT in providing person centred prudent care.

The Powys Living Well service is looking for a Physiotherapist who is either a senior band 6 (or equivalent) looking to be supported into a specialist role, or a Physiotherapist currently working at a band 7 or equivalent level., Applicants are invited to apply in Welsh, any application submitted in Welsh will not be treated less favourably than an application made in English.

£46,840 to £53,602 a year Annex 21 applications will be considered for this post
