Full Job Description

As part of the continued development in Stroke Services across North Wales, we have an exciting opportunity to welcome a Highly Specialist SLT for Stroke into our adult team. The successful candidate will take a lead role in providing and developing Acute SLT services, working with the integrated stroke team to develop care across the stroke pathway, including early supported discharge., The successful candidate will have extensive experience in assessment, diagnosis, treatment and quality of life interventions across acute, community and domiciliary settings, as well as with third sector organisations. He/ she will be able to demonstrate evidence of clinical leadership such as leading in service development projects, clinical audit, and in implementing service change programmes. He/ she will be committed to working in a multi professional team and demonstrate highly developed communication and negotiation skills within this forum.

Our department has established systems for supporting professional and managerial supervision and mentoring, and is committed to supporting professional development.

The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
