At Becton Dickinson, we are seeking an experienced and skilled Clinical Specialist, Vascular Access to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing evidence-based instructor training in advanced vascular access skills using ultrasound and Sherlock 3CG PICC tip navigation and confirmation technology. You will deliver the PICC Preceptorship Programme, facilitating the development of vascular access teams and services using the BD MDS vascular access management portfolio. The Clinical Specialist, Vascular Access plays a crucial role in promoting best practices, quality improvements, and clinical education within the field of vascular access management. This position requires a deep understanding of vascular access procedures, devices, and technologies, as well as exceptional training and communication skills., As a leading manufacturer and supplier of products that are used daily in healthcare, the Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) team provide a wide range of products for injection and infusion therapy, regional anaesthesia and closed medication management.,
- Provide evidence-based training in advanced vascular access skills using ultrasound and Sherlock 3CG technology, both in classroom and clinical settings.
- Use clinical expertise to deliver the PICC Preceptorship Programme to develop vascular access teams/services using the BD MDS portfolio.
- Work with MDS territory managers to develop new vascular access services, offering clinical expertise from C-Suite to practitioner level.
- Collaborate with MDS medical advisors, clinical specialists, and market access to develop key accounts.
- Partner with MDS clinical specialists to provide vascular access management solutions to hospitals using the MDS portfolio.
Nursing qualification or allied health professional qualification with current professional registration. - Extensive experience in vascular access, specifically PICC and Midline placement, using ultrasound and PICC tip navigation technology.
- Vascular Access Board Certification (AVA) is desirable
- Proven expertise in delivering peripheral and central vascular access theory and practical training
- Teaching and mentoring certification
