Clinical Supervisor

Work with the operational and clinical team to support the delivery of the IUC service specification, with a focus on both patient safety and key performance indicators Provide effective leadership, management, direction and support to the multi-disciplinary clinical team Be resilient and dynamic, performing duties in situations that are sometimes unfamiliar, complex, and unpredictable Attend regular meetings with appropriate partners to support the delivery of the service, providing own expertise, experience, and feedback where relevant. Actively develop and facilitate service induction for new members of staff Monitor and support IUC staff during their probationary period, providing mentorship and development opportunities Mentor clinicians in their clinical roles to deliver required standards and expectations whilst working within the IUC Promote and participate in clinical supervision sand reflective practice, encouraging others to do so Encourage and support the clinical team to take
responsibility for their own learning, development and compliance with their statutory and mandatory training Be responsible for the performance and attendance management of your clinical team within the service Be responsible for promoting health and wellbeing of the clinical team within the service Lead on any disciplinary and performance issues within the service in line with PHL policy ensure the IUC clinical team are always working within their clinical competence Ensure that IUC staff members have an appraisal process in place that identifies training and development needs Confidently take the lead on clinical management of the patient's journey when on shift, including clinical queue navigation Provide support to the clinical leadership team, including step-up duties in the absence of the Clinical Manager, or Clinical Supervisor colleagues.
