Full Job Description

We are looking for qualified supervisors with an understanding of bereavement and loss to provide clinical supervision to Bereavement Support Volunteers (BSVs) in our Adult Bereavement Service. You will support BSVs to develop their awareness, skills, knowledge of bereavement support work including the capacity to identify safeguarding concerns, to risk assess client material and to act in accordance with St Christopher's safeguarding policies and procedures. You will also arrange a 6 month (and thereafter on an annual basis) review meeting with each newly trained BSV and, following each meeting, complete the necessary paperwork.

To succeed in this role

You will be a qualified counsellor and clinical supervisor who has a full zoom account and the IT skills necessary both to work online and to produce a high quality written record in a timely manner. You will also hold your own liability insurance.

You will have a keen interest both in bereavement and in the opportunity to support those who are working directly with grieving clients.

This is a fantastic opportunity to work at a leading Hospice who aspires to a world in which all dying people and those close to them have access to care and support, whenever and wherever they need it. St Christopher's Hospice was founded in 1967 by Dame Cicely Saunders and formed part of the modern hospice movement. Proudly celebrating over 50 years and with a turnover of over £20 million, we provide invaluable care and support to over 7,500 people across the five London Boroughs of Bromley, Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark.
