Are you a qualified librarian looking for a position within a small but highly regarded NHS Library team? Do you enjoy the challenge of designing, delivering and evaluating high quality information skills training? Would you like to make a difference at King's College Hospital NHS Foundation Trust through enabling staff access to information and helping to embed evidence-based decision-making? This could be the role for you., The Clinical Support Librarian role is an exciting opportunity to join the team at the Princess Royal University Hospital in Orpington. The post holder will play a key role in supporting the development, promotion and delivery of proactive and innovative library outreach services across the PRUH and South Sites.,

  • Plan and deliver a targeted training programme of online and face-to-face literature searching and critical appraisal skills to support evidence based patient care, professional development and research.

  • Provide ad-hoc individual information skills training / support as required.

  • Contribute to enquiry services including the provision of highly complex literature reviews and research to support the delivery of clinical care and service improvement .

  • Develop partnerships with other departments to embed information skills training and evidence-based decision making within the organisation.

  • Assist in the marketing and promotion of library services and resources through contributing to the development of publicity materials including leaflets, instruction guides, training support materials and posters.

  • Support the delivery of day-to-day library operations on the PRUH site by staffing the issue desk and administering NHS OpenAthens accounts as required.

  • Maintain professional competence through a variety of continuing professional development activities such as attendance at training courses, workshops and conferences.
