Our support workers are highly valued, essential members of our team, supporting qualified staff and working closely with patients, carrying out patient observations, assisting at mealtimes, providing personal care, and accompanying patients out of the ward, into the community or back into their own homes.

+ Educated to 'A' level standard and with GCSEs in at least four subjects including English, Maths, or equivalent qualifications.

Working in a service that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, you will need to be able to cover shifts throughout the week at varying times of the day.

Rowan is a mixed 20 bed Ward that provides care for older adults with dementia and other mental health conditions.
Based in Reading, located close to the amenities of the town centre and a leafy park, the ward works closely with patients and families to help them to identify their needs and participate actively in their care, providing a place of empathy, kindness, and compassion.
