Full Job Description

The role of the Clinical Support Worker is to provide high quality care to a wide range of patients who require our service. The role includes assisting under direct supervision, scrubbing and circulating during procedures and rotation into the day case/recovery area to expand knowledge of caring for patients post procedure and post sedation.

We are currently seeking enthusiastic and caring Clinical Support Worker who have excellent communication skills to join our dynamic combined Interventional Radiology, Cardiology and Fluoroscopy department., We are looking for hard working, driven individuals who are both flexible and versatile in their approach to work to join our excellent and friendly nursing team. You must be able to work well under pressure. You will be a strong team player with excellent interpersonal skills. You will possess a positive attitude and be constructive toward change.

The Mid Yorkshire Hospitals NHS Trust provides a comprehensive range of cardiac and vascular diagnostic and interventional services to patients with cardiovascular disease including cardiac and vascular angiography, percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) including pressure wire assessment, intravascular ultrasound and rotablation, insertion of temporary and permanent pacemakers, reveal devices, pericardiocentesis and CRT and ICD devices, as well as Vascular and non-Vascular interventions; peripheral angioplasty, line placements, urology and gastrointestinal procedures, biopsies, drainages and many more. These services are also utilised by neighbouring Trusts., We provide care and support to over a million people in Wakefield and Kirklees in their homes, community settings and across our three hospital sites at Pontefract, Dewsbury and Pinderfields (Wakefield).
