Full Job Description

The post-holder is responsible for the direct clinical care and support of individual patients and groups of patients within their area of work. The post holder will be required to work in all areas as required to meet the needs of the service. The post holder will be required to work flexible working patterns including evenings and weekend working.

To inform Nurse in Charge of any matters affecting the standard of patient care delivery.

Work as part of the nursing team to promote high standards of care.

Coordinating & running clinics for multiple specialities.

To support & assist other team members with procedures.

Chaperoning patients and assisting with mobility and care requirements.

Participate as part of the department team in implementing change and service developments., To communicate effectively with the patients and relatives, referring any concerns to qualified nurses.

To be aware of current issues and policies within the Trust & the department and adhere to them.

To communicate using appropriate verbal and nonverbal methods, in a variety of situations, overcoming physical & psychological barriers, supports new & nervous patients

To assist in the day-to-day running of the clinics, assisting/supporting the registered nurse role & coordinate the running of a clinic in all specialties within the department areas.

To be able to prepare clinical areas for clinics and have an awareness of the track & trace scopes located in some OPD areas, i.e. ENT.
